What 34.4º products contains beeswax and honey? What are their benefits?

Beeswax and honey are key ingredients in a number of our products. In this article, we'll refer to beeswax and honey as ‘bee ingredients’.

About 30% of our creams and balms contain some forms of bee ingredients. This of course includes our magical hero product, the infamous HONEY BALM and FACE NO 3. Our creams and balms can either have (i) a combination of beeswax and honey or (ii) beeswax only.

Health Benefits

Very few people know how beeswax and honey benefits the skin. The 34.4º collection, contains very small amounts of beeswax and honey (honouring how hard the bees work) but we find them to be remarkably beneficial for skin health. They are anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory which are paramount when treating burns or skin diseases, such as ringworm (a fungal disease).

You have probably heard a lot about honey, but how about beeswax? Apart from skincare products, such as those within 34.4º collection, what else is beeswax used for?

Beeswax has become one of the most sought-after ingredients in the natural products world. The litany of health benefits, flexibility of use, and trendiness means that it is added to a plethora of products:

  • Cosmetics
  • Candles
  • Topical creams
  • Beeswax wrap (to replace cling film wrap). Comment: While beeswax wrap is a more sustainable alternative to cling film wrap, we would highly recommend the use of stainless steel and/or glass containers instead. This is because beeswax wrap uses a lot of beeswax while other food storage methods are equally effective and even more sustainable
